Beer, food and the Gorge scene in Hood River
Hood River is known for its food and drink scene, but this edition does not list individual businesses. It points to the guides that keep that information current.
The visitor guide
Visit Hood River is the area's visitor and chamber site. Its guide to exploring the area is organized by category: dining, drinks, shopping, recreation, agritourism, tours and guides, art and culture, and relaxing. It also has sections on where to stay and a calendar of events. For restaurants, breweries, wineries and shops, start there.
Farm-based food and drink
The Hood River Fruit Loop's official site describes its members as on-the-farm fruit stands, wineries, breweries, cideries and fields of flowers. Wikipedia says the Hood River Valley has more than a dozen wineries.
